Upon arrival in Kathmandu, visitors will find themselves in the largest city and capital of Nepal. Known as the heart of Nepal, Kathmandu was once considered to be the fabled and unreachable Shangri-La and is now a popular vacation destination. According to legend, the valley of Kathmandu was once a turquoise lake with a beautiful lotus flower floating on it. The patriarch saint Manjushree (Padmasambav) from China is said to have sliced the valley wall with his flaming sword of wisdom at Chovar, causing the dry land to appear. The lotus flower settled on the valley floor and Manjushree built the great stupa of Swoyambhunath over it. The Kathmandu valley is made up of three ancient Royal cities: Patan, Bhaktapur, and Kathmandu, each with its own palaces and ornate palace squares that have been listed as World Heritage sites. Visitors can explore the cobbled lanes of these palace squares, which are full of a fascinating maze of temples, shrines, marketplaces, and the vibrant local life that revolves around them. Upon arrival at the airport, visitors will receive a warm welcome and assistance before being transferred to their hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore and enjoy the local sights and sounds. Visitors will spend the night at their hotel in Kathmandu.

The square was founded during the Licchavi era and features beautiful architecture. The temple has a tiered golden roof and silver doors that are famous for their superb architecture. Afterward, visitors will head to Boudhanath, the largest Stupa in Nepal, which is located on flat land surrounded by houses and monasteries. The area is known as "little Tibet" due to its resemblance to the old Barkhor marketplace in Lhasa. Many Tibetans visit the area for pilgrimage and trading. Visitors can explore the nearby monasteries and meditate with the monks for some time to receive blessings. The tour will conclude with an overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
