Konnichiwa Japan! Welcome to the Land of the Rising Sun. As soon as you arrive, get acquainted with your fellow travellers and greet the local guide. Your local AFC representative will guide you to check in to your hotel in Tokyo where you will spend the night and catch up on some much-needed rest. Overnight in Tokyo.

Good morning Tokyo; It is your first morning in the city welcomed with a sumptuous serving of breakfast at the hotel to prepare you for the day ahead. Today, you will have the choice to have a leisure day or join the group for a full-day Tokyo City Tour. This starts with a visit to the Asakusa Sensoji Kanon Temple-- It is Tokyo’s oldest temple and one of its most significant Buddhist Temples with its historical significance. From here, you will walk through Nakamise Shopping Street, a 250 m popular shopping street that connects the Sensoji Main Gate to the Main Hall. After this, there will be some interesting sights that you will pass by on the way as the group drives to the lunch location. After lunch, you will visit the Tokyo Skytree (Observatory Deck) in Sumida, Tokyo. It is the tallest structure in Japan. On the drive, you will pass by Ginza and the Rainbow Bridge on your way to Odaiba, a man-made island on Tokyo Bay that functions as an entertainment complex. Overnight in Tokyo.

Bid farewell to your Tokyo hotel as we set off on an exciting journey to the iconic Mt. Fuji. Weather permitting, we’ll ascend to the lofty heights of the 5th Station, reaching an impressive 2300 meters above sea level, where breathtaking vistas await. Glide across the serene waters of Lake Ashi on a delightful 25-minute cruise and then soar high above the landscapes with a thrilling one-way ride on the Hakone Ropeway. Shopaholics, get ready for some retail therapy at the Gotemba Outlets, where you can snag fantastic deals. Finally, it’s time to unwind as we check into your cozy hotel in Yamanakako near Hakone.

Our first stop is the resplendent Kinkaku-Ji Golden Pavilion, where you can marvel at the gilded beauty of this iconic temple set amidst serene gardens. Next, we'll transport you to the ethereal Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, a place of otherworldly tranquility. As the day unfolds, you'll have the opportunity to check into the hotel, where you can relax and recharge for the adventures that await in this historic city. Prepare a small bag for yourself as your luggage will be transferred to Tokyo, allowing you to travel light and enjoy the journey ahead. Enjoy your overnight stay in Kyoto.

This starts with a drive to the captivating city of Nara. Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Todaiji Temple, a cultural masterpiece within the picturesque Nara Park. Here, you'll encounter friendly deer that freely roam the park's lush grounds. Afterwards, we'll explore the vibrant Nishiki Market, where you can indulge in local flavours and shop for unique souvenirs. Our adventure continues with a visit to the mystical Fushimi Inari Shrine, known for its iconic torii gates. We'll then immerse ourselves in the charm of the Gion district, a hub of traditional Japanese culture. As the day draws to a close, we'll transfer you back to your hotel in Kyoto for a restful overnight stay.

As the sun rises, savor a delicious breakfast at your Kyoto hotel before bidding farewell and checking out. Our next adventure begins as we board the efficient Shinkansen, whisking us back to Tokyo. In this vibrant metropolis, you'll have ample time for shopping and sightseeing in some of its most iconic neighborhoods, including Ueno, Akihabara, and Shibuya. Explore bustling markets, uncover tech treasures, and soak in the energetic atmosphere. Later, we'll regroup and journey to Narita Airport, where you'll catch your flight back to the UAE.

Travel Tips

  •  Carry sunscreen and sunglasses every day with you while you are travelling
  •  Be on time as advised by the dedicated tour manager
  •  Having a travel Insurance is very important!
  •  Scan your passport/ identity card photos and save them in your mobile
  •  Try learning a few words of the language of the country you are visiting
  •  Always carry a photocopy of your itinerary with yourself
  •  Self-educate yourself about the local customs of the country before you arrive. You obviously do not want to offend anyone while you travel!
  •  Be kind, polite & Smile often! Being part of a group tour will definitely make it easier for you to make your new travel buddies.
  •  Carry an extra pair of clothes when you are catching a flight in your handbag in case of any unexpected delays
  •  Charge all your gadgets whenever you get time. A great tip - you will find a USB charging port at the back of your hotel TV!
  •  Try not to exchange your currency at the airport as you will not get the best exchange rate over there
  •  Get earplugs and a sleep mask along with you! They can be very helpful when you are flying or especially during your inter-country commute via tour bus
  •  Track your spending when you are on the trip! It can be tiresome but you will always be well-informed about all your expenses and the remaining travel budget amount
  •  As tipping is habitual in most of the countries, it is not polite to walk out of the restaurants without tipping anything. You can tip somewhere between 10 to 20 per cent of the total bill value
  •  Let your bank know that you will be travelling so your card is not blocked for sudden international usage
