Day 01: UAE - Baku, Azerbaijan (Drive to Gabala and Check in)

No Meals

Welcome to Baku! Finalise your visa formalities before grouping up with your guide and fellow travellers for a meet and greet. No time to waste in the Land of Fire as you and your companions are swept away for a drive to Gabala, Azerbaijan (220 km away, 4 hours drive). Check into the hotel immediately as soon as you arrive and have the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Gabala.

Day 02: Leisure Day or OPTIONAL (Gabala Tour, Nohur Lake & Cable Car Ride)

Sabahiniz xeyir Baku. Wake up to a delicious breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you are free to explore the city on your own or join the group for a comprehensive tour of Gabala. This region is most beautiful with fantastic views of the highest peak in the country. You will also visit Nohur Lake for a breathtaking view of the Caucasus Mountains and ride the cable car and admire the beauty of Gabala from above before spending the rest of your day at leisure doing ski activities (chargeable activities) and turning in for the night. Overnight in Gabala.

Day 03: Gabala (Drive to Baku + 2-Hour City Tour)

Included Meals:

Your third morning in Azerbaijan will be made perfect with breakfast served at the hotel before check out. Today, you will drive back to Baku (220 km away, 3.6 hours) and check-in as soon as you arrive. After this, you will embark on a 2-hour Baku city tour that starts at the Upland Park (Nagorny Memorial), located near the coast of Baku for the best view of the city along with Primorsky Boulevard, Icheri Sheher, Maiden Tower, and Shirvanshakh’s Palace. You will also stop by Nizami Street which houses local cafes, restaurants and a shopping spot to get all your shopping needs. You will have the rest of the day to continue shopping or partake in Baku’s many happening events. Baku has many stories to tell – thanks to its location on the Silk Route. Overnight in Baku.

Day 04: Baku -Leisure Day or OPTIONAL (Absheron and Old Baku City Tour)

Included Meals:

Good morning Baku! Breakfast will be served at the hotel to get you ready for the day’s agenda. You will have the day free or you may opt to join Absheron and Old Baku City Tour.Your Absheron exploration starts with a visit to the Ateshgah Fire Temple, it is a castle-like religious temple in the Surakhani Town in Baku, this temple is one of the few Hindu temples in Azerbaijan which was unfortunately left desolated due to the dwindling population of Indians in Azerbaijan. Next is the Burning Mountain or Yanar Dag, it is a natural gas fire that is continuously ablaze on a hillside in the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku. Another major stop is the Heydar Aliyev Center (photostop from outside) where you can take Instagram worthy photos with the "ILOVEBAKU" icon. Aftwerwards, drive to Old City of Baku, exploring its city walls and discovering rare monuments recognized by the UNESCO World Heritage. A truly eventful day to have before turning in for the night. Overnight in Baku.

Day 05: Baku, Azerbaijan - UAE

Included Meals:

Sagol Baku! Today is your last day in Azerbaijan. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready to check out. We hope you’ve accomplished most if not all of your must-dos when in the magnificent Land of Fire. After, transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.

I had a fairly good experience with AFC Holidays. I had taken the Baku Package. It was a total value for your money kind of a holiday package. The Fly Dubai flight was comfortable. Hotel dropoff was hassle-free. The hotel that they gave us was neat and clean and we did not have any issues.

Baku was one of the wonderful experiences traveling with AFC holidays since they planned the trip very well from Dubai right until providing us with good tours services. The tour company hired by AFC in Baku was excellent and very prompt with their timings, transportation, airport transfers etc. right up to providing us with personal tours too during our free time. The only disaster was the hotel which was suppose to be 4 stars but we could rate it as 2 star since the amenities were below standards. No proper restaurants for our lunches or dinners and also the offered breakfast was similar on all 3 days we stayed there. Also, room cards had to be activated on a daily basis and also the hotel was located in a very remote, deserted place which was far from restaurants or shopping areas. AFC have always put their best effort to serve their customer but I think customer feedback helps them to serve us better.
