No language problem here
So, the Swiss speak four languages, so that is one question answered. French, German, Romansch and Italian is what you will hear here, depending on which area you are in. Otherwise, there is always English. So, you are sorted.
Enjoy Swiss cuisine
Depending on which region you are in, you will have the chance to taste the cuisine. Like for example, you will taste Saffron Risotto for the Italian-speaking, Raclette for the French-speaking region and Landjager for the German-speaking part. But rosti and cheese fondue are eaten across the country and are almost always included in restaurants catered to foreign visitors.
No one does chocolates like the Swiss. Period. Melt-in-the-mouth chocolates of the finest quality can be had here. Only you can stop yourself from going overboard with chocolate-indulgence. Of course, they make great souvenirs as well – who wouldn’t like a gift of the finest, right? We suggest you drop into one of the 22 chocolate factories around the country…
Love Toblerone? You’ll love Matterhorn
Why do we say so? Well, for the simple reason that Matterhorn, Switzerland’s iconic mountain is stamped on your favourite chocolate brand – Toblerone. Wouldn’t it be amazing to see the actual mountain while you are here?

This does make for some serious adventure options. You can go sailing on Lake Geneva as well.
Land of Castles
One of the most well-known castles in Switzerland, the Chillon Castle is a must-see for travelers, and it is not difficult to see why when you take in the glorious view of the 11th-century castle against the backdrop of mountains. Lord Byron, inspired by this castle, penned his famous “Prisoner of Chillon” after visiting this castle on one stormy night. You can arrive here by train or via the ferry boat on Lake Geneva. Nothing beats the joy of arriving at this foreboding castle sitting on the edge of the lake.
