Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you proceed for a Half Day City Tour of Reykjavik. The tour begins at the old Höfði house where the historic summit between American president Ronald Reagan and Russian president Mikhail Gorbatsjov took place in 1986. Höfði house is also believed to be home to a ghost known as the White Lady. The tour continues to the stunning Harpa concert hall and conference centre which was the winner of the 2013 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture—the Mies van der Rohe Award. Next up is the city centre where we will see the infamous Hallgrímskirkja church, whose unique design was inspired by the basalt lava columns—a common volcanic rock formation in Icelandic nature. We proceed to the viewing platform at Perlan which provides a breathtaking 360° view over the charming city of Reykjavík.. The final stop on the tour is on the outskirts of the capital to visit Bessastaðir, the official residence of the President of Iceland. Afternoon you will be free to explore Reykjavik on your own. Today we proceed for the Half Day Whale Watching Tour you get the chance to see whales in their natural environment, which is an unforgettable experience.This whale watching tour takes you sailing from Reykjavík out to Faxaflói bay which is home of variety of whales, dolphins, and other marine life including sea birds like the Puffin, Arctic tern, Gannet and gulls. The most common sightings include dolphins and humpback whales and, on rare occasions, minke whales and killer whales.. Specially built for whale watching, the spacious vessel offers a variety of platforms for watching the whales as well as an indoor viewing area with large windows. To keep you warm and comfortable there are warm overalls on board, but there are also hot drinks and light refreshments in the on-board café. After the tour you can explore the Whale Exhibition Centre to find out more about the mysteries of the ocean. It is situated in an old Capelin-fishing vessel “Fífill,” which has been transformed into an exhibition and information centre on whales and seabirds. Later return to your hotel.
