After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up for a private guided tour of Cape Town and Table Mountain. This half-day tour is an excellent way to experience the history and natural beauty of Cape Town. You will start by driving past important landmarks such as Parliament Buildings, City Hall, and the Slave Lodge, before stopping at the Castle of Good Hope, which is the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa (optional). Alternatively, you can opt to walk around the Grand Parade square, which also has a historical significance. Next, you will visit the Company Gardens, where you can take a leisurely walk through the beautifully landscaped gardens. As you move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter, you will learn more about the history and culture of the Bo-Kaap and its people, while admiring the colorful and charming Bo-Kaap homes. You will also visit a diamond cutting factory to learn about the history of diamonds and gold in South Africa and watch a professional diamond cutter in action. The tour will then take you past other famous landmarks, including the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town Stadium, Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay. Finally, you will make your way to Table Mountain, where you will experience a revolving cable car ride to the top for a stunning bird’s-eye view of Cape Town and the Peninsula (weather dependent). On a clear day, you can even see Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, on one side and Cape Point on the other. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before being picked up for an exciting full-day tour of Cape Point, also known as the Cape Peninsula tour. As you embark on your journey, take in the stunning views of Mouille Point, Three Anchor Bay, Sea Point, Bantry Bay, and Clifton, and stop at Maidens Cove for some photo opportunities. From there, travel through Camps Bay to Hout Bay where you will take a boat trip to Seal Island (weather permitting) to see thousands of seals that inhabit it. As you leave Hout Bay, prepare yourself for one of the world's most spectacular coastal drives, Chapman's Peak Drive, and be awed by the breathtaking views. Make a quick stop before heading to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point, located at the southernmost tip of Africa where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Indian Ocean. Take in the dramatic clash of the seas from the viewpoint which can be accessed by using a Flying Dutchman Funicular (Return ticket included). Next, visit Boulders Beach, which is home to a growing colony of African penguins. Get up close and personal with these adorable creatures as you walk alongside them and watch them laze around in the sun or dive deep for their catch of the day. In the afternoon, head to the seaside town of Muizenberg, where the Atlantic coastline hugs cloud-capped mountains, and spot the famous colorful huts surrounded by rocky mountains. Stop here for lunch (at your own expense) and enjoy the view. Keep your eyes on the ocean as you drive back along this beach route to reach Cape Town by evening.
