Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, where you will be greeted by your guide for Meet & Greet assistance. Continue your journey with a scenic drive towards Kandy, approximately 125 km away, with a stop en route to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a renowned sanctuary where elephants are cared for in a natural riverside setting. You will also have a brief stop for lunch (at your own expense) before proceeding to Kandy. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Kandy and relax after your journey. Enjoy the evening at leisure with an overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 02: Kandy (Optional Kandy City Tour)

Begin with a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, home to a stunning collection of tropical plants and orchids, followed by a Kandy city tour covering Craft Workshops, the Oriental Marketplace, Bazaar, and Gem Lapidary. After some free time for lunch (at your own expense), continue to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Sri Lanka’s most important cultural and religious sites. In the evening, enjoy a traditional cultural dance show showcasing vibrant Sri Lankan heritage. Return to your hotel and relax for an overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 03: Kandy to Bentota (Optional Kitulgala Water rafting)

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Kandy before checking out and continuing your journey towards Bentota. En route, stop at Kitulgala, a scenic riverside town famous for its lush rainforest surroundings. Here, you may choose to experience the exciting Kitulgala White Water Rafting adventure on the Kelani River at US$ 30 per person (optional and payable directly). After the adventure, continue your drive to Bentota. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing by the beach or enjoying the resort facilities. After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to explore Bentota and its surrounding attractions. Begin with a visit to the Turtle Hatchery, where conservation efforts help protect and rehabilitate sea turtles. Continue with a scenic Madu River Boat Safari, cruising through mangroves, small islands, and rich biodiversity. After some free time for lunch on your own, enjoy exciting Bentota Water Sports, offering activities such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, and other beach adventures. Day 05: Bentota - Colombo - UAE (Airport Drop / Flight Back to UAE )

We travelled to Srilanka in the last week of june. Our trip was very well planned and executed by AFC Travel. Right from the arrival at Colombo Airport our tour guide Mr.Ivwin took us to different parts of Srilnka.We stayed at luxurious Golden crown hotel in Kandy.We had wonderful stay in the hotel which is surrounded by hills. Food quality was exceptionally good and tasty which includes indian and continental food. Nuwara Eliya is the beautiful hill station in srilanka.Driving in rain and foggy condition is itself a challenge. Visiting Bentota island is another pleasant experience. Staying in Granbell hotel at Colombo and watching beautiful arabian sea from the window is another experience which we will not forget. Overall very well planned and executed tour from AFC Holidays. Looking forward to have more and more tours thru AFC holidays.

The locations planned were pretty good, the hotels and transport were comfortable. But the last day of the itinerary in Colombo did not feel very useful, it could have been reduced to a 5-day trip only.
