We will say this: Croatia is the Riviera of Eastern Europe.

We have many reasons to say this too – and why not! Croatia has transformed itself into one of the major destinations on every traveler’s list, and with its abundance of things to do (that includes a beach), it is definitely not a country you can take lightly. It is full of gorgeous landscapes, waterfalls, mountains, and lots of wine. Explore Croatia to the fullest with the convenience and curated experiences offered by comprehensive International tour packages.

Did you know that the country’s capital Zagreb is a haven for coffee lovers? The city is bursting at the seams with fabulous cafes – the residents take their coffee drinking very seriously indeed.

Here are a few reasons why we think you SHOULD put Croatia on your list NOW.

Incredible Beaches

Incredible Beaches

Yes. Croatia has some of the finest beaches, namely Dalmatian (a coast in Dalmatia). The beach is filled with white pebbles (and of course sand too), has amazing azure blue waters, and hidden coves dotted with trees. If your idea is to relax on the beach or have a great night out, then you are in the right place. If you are really keen on beach-hopping, check out the Zlatni Rat and some gorgeous hidden spots like Nugal.

Diving and other water sports

Diving and other water sports

Given the colour of water, but naturally, diving is definitely something you’d want to do – dive into the blue, literally. If diving is not your thing, strap on a snorkel and explore the waters instead. Remember that Croatia has a long history of seafaring, which means you can get to see underwater wrecks of cargo ships dating back thousands of years -or if you are lucky, recent warships can be seen too.

If you really keen on exploring underwater, check out Te Vega Sea Lake, reached by an underwater tunnel, the Blue Cave, or a reef with yellow corals.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Croatia has an amazing number of ancient buildings – many of which have made it to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Some of the sites that are on this list include the Old City of Dubrovnik, Plitvice National Park, the Historical Complex of Split, Beech Forests of the Carpathians, the Cathedral of Saint James, Stari Grad Plain, etc.

Did you know that the Port city of Istria has one of the best-preserved Roman Amphitheatre in the world?

Plitvice National Park

Plitvice National Park

The country’s most popular and famous national park, the Plitvice National Park is one of Europe’s most breathtaking natural wonders. You can easily spend a day exploring the shocking blue Plitvice Lakes interconnected by stunning waterfalls. Such is the allure of this place that you might be forgiven for not opting to hike the stunning trails surrounding this beauty! But we strongly suggest that you pace yourself with everything this place has to offer…although we are quite sure that you will want to return!

CITIES NOT TO BE MISSED

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik

Are you a big fan of the Game of Thrones- series? Look no further you have arrived where the shooting is set for “King’s Landing”. It is not called “Pearl of the Adriatic” for nothing! This walled, seaside city has everything that can keep a casual tourist or a hardcore history buff engrossed for days! Dubrovnik has some amazing centuries-old forts surrounding a picturesque Old Town. You have every opportunity to go on long walks with views of cliffs and the sea. Don’t forget to admire the famous collection of baroque buildings on marble streets. Dubrovnik is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, – and you will see why as you ride the cable car to the peak of Mount Srd.

Chill out with a cup of coffee at the top and simply admire the views of the entire city as the blue Adriatic Sea lazily washes up the shores. And oh, did you know that many scenes in the Game of Thrones were filed here? If you a hardcore fan, then check out the locations as well.

Split

This city on the Dalmatian Coast (which means it has a fabulous beach as well) is bustling at all hours. Enjoy urban life at its best here. One of the major attractions is the Roman palace in the centre of the city – built in the 14th century, it continues to dominate the city’s life – thanks to the hundreds of restaurants and cafes inside the “fortress”. Make sure you get lost in the labyrinth of streets – and discover something new!
