Itinerary & Road Map

-

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, your guide will greet the group and begin a scenic 5-hour drive along the Expressway to Sapa. Arrive in Sapa and enjoy free time for lunch before checking into your hotel in Sapa town. In the afternoon, we embark on a gentle hike down to Cat Cat Village, home to the Black H’mong ethnic minority. The walk goes through steps of rice fields and over a nice hanging bridge. Return to your hotel in time to catch the sunset and perhaps indulge in a herbal foot bath to unwind (at your own expense). Overnight at your hotel in Sapa.

Breakfast Included

This morning, visit a quiet workshop just outside town where local H’mong women will show you how to make colors from plants, roots, and tree bark. You can try dyeing your own silk scarf or cotton cloth using old, traditional methods. After a relaxed lunch break (on your own), take a small train to the bottom of Fansipan, the highest mountain in the area. Then, ride a cable car up through the clouds to the top, which is 3,143 meters high. The view from the top is beautiful. In the late afternoon, take the Muong Hoa Funicular Train back to Sapa town. Enjoy a relaxed evening on your own. Overnight in Sapa.

Then, explore the city with a visit to the Old Quarter, a busy maze of streets, and the oldest pagoda in Hanoi – Tran Quoc Pagoda, which is by West Lake. Then, learn how to make famous dishes like rolled rice noodles, fresh spring rolls, or grilled eggplant with herbs. Enjoy eating your own cooked meal in a peaceful courtyard. In the afternoon, travel just outside Hanoi to Bat Trang Ceramic Village. Here, skilled artists make beautiful pottery like vases, teapots, and tiles. You will join a short workshop and make your own souvenir, helped by a local craftswoman. Return to the city in the late afternoon, rest, and enjoy the rest of the evening on your own.
