Day 01: UAE - Baku, Azerbaijan (City Tour)

Welcome to Baku! Finalise your visa formalities before grouping up with your guide and fellow travellers for a meet and greet. Proceed to hotel for check in. Be swept away to explore the capital of Azerbaijan in the city orientation tour. Starting at the Upland Park (Nagorny Memorial), located near the coast of Baku for the best view of the city along with Primorsky Boulevard, Icheri Sheher, Maiden Tower, and Shirvanshakh’s Palace. You will also stop by Nizami Street which houses local cafes, restaurants and a shopping spot to get all your shopping needs. Baku has many stories to tell – thanks to its location on the Silk Route. Overnight in Baku.

Day 02: Leisure Day or Optional Shahdag Day Tour

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting off on a scenic day trip to Shahdag, Azerbaijan’s premier mountain resort. Travel through beautiful landscapes to reach the resort and experience a round-trip cable car ride offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After spending leisure time exploring the resort or relaxing amid the fresh alpine surroundings, return to Baku for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Baku - Leisure Day or Optional Gobustan National Park, Old Baku & Absheron City Tour

Included Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Gobustan National Park, renowned for its prehistoric rock carvings and mud volcanoes. Next, visit the Old City of Baku. then head to the National Seaside Boulevard before having free time for lunch. Later, you will drive to the Absheron which starts with a visit to the Ateshgah Fire Temple. Next is the Burning Mountain or Yanar Dag, it is a natural gas fire that is continuously ablaze on a hillside in the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku. The last major stop for the day is the Heydar Aliyev Center with a photo opportunity at the "ILOVEBAKU" icon. Overnight in Baku.

I had a fairly good experience with AFC Holidays. I had taken the Baku Package. It was a total value for your money kind of a holiday package. The Fly Dubai flight was comfortable. Hotel dropoff was hassle-free. The hotel that they gave us was neat and clean and we did not have any issues.

Baku was one of the wonderful experiences traveling with AFC holidays since they planned the trip very well from Dubai right until providing us with good tours services. The tour company hired by AFC in Baku was excellent and very prompt with their timings, transportation, airport transfers etc. right up to providing us with personal tours too during our free time. The only disaster was the hotel which was suppose to be 4 stars but we could rate it as 2 star since the amenities were below standards. No proper restaurants for our lunches or dinners and also the offered breakfast was similar on all 3 days we stayed there. Also, room cards had to be activated on a daily basis and also the hotel was located in a very remote, deserted place which was far from restaurants or shopping areas. AFC have always put their best effort to serve their customer but I think customer feedback helps them to serve us better.
