Overall, I did enjoy my trip to Turkey. It was well organized and well managed throughout the days. Enjoyed seeing multiple tourist attractions and visiting the private hospital as part of our trip. I enjoyed our Bursa visit the most!
I really enjoyed the trip to Istanbul and the itinerary that was planned. Visiting the hospital was really great as I got to see and find out about the dental field in Turkey and how it is run. The tours per day were amazing and I feel like we covered all the areas that were important.
The Turkey trip was very enjoyable, with the visit to Bursa being the highlight of the week. The hospital visit was very informative and opened up possibilities of doing our post-grad studies in the country, as the facilities were very impressive. As for future trips, Italy or Spain would be great.
I really enjoyed our trip to Istanbul, which was a good mix between an educational and a leisurely experience. We were able to visit some of the most famous and interesting landmarks of the city such as the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, as well as visit Acibadem, one of the very well established hospitals in the city. Our visit to Acibadem in particular was very enlightening as we got a taste of the healthcare system and practices of Turkey. We were lucky enough to be able to meet with one of the neurosurgeons currently working there who gave us a short explanation about one of their core tumor suppressing treatments and this was truly a wonderful experience. The city and all its sights was a very culturally vibrant experience where we were able to get a taste of the Turkish way of life. This was definitely an experience I will never forget and would recommend to students in the future.
My name is Maryam Patrick John student of BPT Second year. The trip to Turkey is a great experience for me and an eye opening for me. I learned a lot. Acibadem hospital is the best hospital I have ever seen in my life, is very beautiful, the waiting room, wash room, staff hospitality and peacefullness of the emveroment. I saw a lot of machine that I have never seen before, the radiotherapy machine is one thing I have always wanted to see and I saw it. The next thing and enjoyed is the trip to Bursa --wow is the best in Turkey. Their street food is amazing and cheap, things are cheap also and the people are friendly. Ms Burcu made sure we are comfortable, happy and she made sure we go to the best places in Istanbul and also Bursa turkey. Life is easy here transportation is good and cheap
I’m a MBBS student of Phase 1, 2018, who accompanied the other group members for the Turkey trip. I would like to thank for the great opportunity. These amazing 5 days, with our classmates, let us take a breath of relieve from our college stress. The trip began with a visit to a hill, with an amazing view and breezy weather. It was a great start of the journey, along with the interaction among different program students of the college. The second day was remarked by the visit to ACIBADEM ALTUNIZAD HOSPITAL , which ranks in the top most private healthcare facilities in Turkey. The smooth functioning of the hospital along with the cooperative doctors and nurses made the visit with interesting and knowledgeable. The next few day were all about the beauty of Istanbul and visits to the famous and archaic monuments, with a legendary history. From Hagia Sophia to The Grand Bazar, the beauty of the country was reflected in every element around us. The journey was made very easy and fun by our tour guide, Mr Sinan and our group leader, Ms Burcu, who have been really kind and understanding. This trip gives us an idea of the world we are oblivious to. I will be looking forward to more trip organised by the university.
I enjoyed the trip to its fullest. The destination is wonderful, the residence is great. The hospital visit to me was the main highlight of the trip. Truly a dream to work there. The facility, the staff, all were certainly of a high class. The equipments used, the technology, and the minor details in the infrastructure of the hospital were truly astounding. The trip was well planned..schedule for all the destinations were good and overall the trip was fantastic. I rate a 4/5 for the trip. Thanks you to GMU.
Baku is a beautiful city to visit with lot of sightseeing, shopping and night life. Important places to visit are Old city, gabala tour and mud volcanoes. AFC holidays had planned the tour very well with lot of free time. it was not hectic as done by other tour operators, however the following are the suggestions for improvements as mentioned below are the issues we faced. Guide - The guide was a nice person but not professional , he did not know the location of the Hotel. for 2 hours we were finding the location of hotel . Also he picked us from the airport telling that all guest are here but then forgot to pick one guest and we had to go back to the airport . Please ensure that the guide is professional and not only nice person. Food - The tour included one lunch but the guide took us to a restaurant where in there was not vegetarian food and it had a set menu which even the non veg people were not happy . While doing the booking we were asked how many veg and non veg but that was not followed. The guide shed away from the responsibility and mentioned that he was not aware of the restaurant and was just following the orders. This area needs to be planned properly Hotel - The hotel was told to be a five star hotel but in reality it was not even a single star hotel. Google also showed 5 star rating . The star ratings are not accurate hence please provide correct information .Staff did not know English hence communication was a problem.The best part was the hotel was located in the heart of the city with everything nearby Over all if the above things are done properly would recommend AFC holidays to everyone .
It was an amazing experience, as it was my first trip with the university, The visit to the acibadem hospital was very good and they had many facilities and we learned from them the new facilities that they brought, the way the treated the patients was as if they were at home! My favourite place was when we went to bursa to see the snow and the cable car! I would definitely go next time.
The Turkish trip in my opinion was cery educative and fun. We had lots to see and a lot of things to learn about the turkish history and culture. The Acibadem Hospital gave me a great insight of hospital with high level of hospitality, and that is important in the medical field. The hospital was very hotel like, having their patients and any guest as their top priority. Their waiting rooms had snacks and drinks for patients, as well as friends and family. The most impressive was the fact that they had radiologic, dental and various recuperative facilities at the emergency area. To me its impressive because it saves time, energy and increases the chance of survival of patients. I also enjoyed the cable car ride and snow. I would love to redo this with friends and family.
We had wonderful Turkey trip during EID holidays. Group guide was very professional and well English spoken. Hotels booked very good except Pamukkale, there was no air condition in the entire hotel. Co-ordination and communication of AF representative was very good. I would recommend my friends to use AFC holidays.

We traveled to Turkey Tour with AFC Holidays during last EID Holidays. Had a great experience with their services. Right from the visas - we got our visa appointments & Schengen visas in a timely manner. Further, tour was nicely planned with all the locations of Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale & Kusadasi.
